Creativiva Caribbean Inc. is seeking a Stage Hand/Rigger for live entertainment productions at the five-star resort in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos.
We are accepting applications from candidates based in Canada, USA and Europe.
Contract dates: July 13, 2019 – January 13, 2020

All candidates must be available for the full duration of the contract.
All candidates must have a valid passport to travel internationally.
This is a non-union position.
Maintenance of rigging equipment, scenery, and props, as well as show preparation pertaining to scenic goods and rigging;
Safely operate aerial/human rigging during performances, rehearsals, artist training, and maintenance;
Ensure the safety and security of rigging equipment at all times;
Provide advice, recommendations and information on any safety issue related to working above the ground;
Maintain the rigging inventory and technical documentation;
Manage the backstage and performance areas prior, during, and after each show;
Assist with some quick costume changes during some of the shows;
Attend meetings with the project team;
Assist with show setups, rehearsals and tech runs;
Perform all other job related duties as requested.
College diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience);
At least 2 years of technical theatre or circus experience;
Experience in theatrical and/or circus rigging, including experience with aerial/human rigging;
Experience in carpentry, electrical work, sound, video and lighting;
Certified rope access technician (SPRAT, IRATA etc.);
ETCP or PLASA NRC certificate is an asset;
Technical knowledge of rigging equipment;
Good general understanding of all basic technical aspects of a show;
Knowledge of basic structural loads and forces;
Ability to work at heights;
Formal fall protection training, competency training and overall safety training;
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
